• Quality Council of India - National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (QCI-NABET) accredited as EIA Coordinates:

All accreditated EIA coordinators, Functional area experts and Associate functional area experts are in-house experts of MECON.

• Environmental Engineering Laboratory is recognized by CPCB and also certified for BS OSHAS: ISO 18001 along with ISO:9001
• MECON has received the coveted Golden Peacock Award for excellent environmental services for the year 2014.

Achievements:

• Environmental Engineering section is recognized by CPCB/MoEFCC as Centre for Environmental standards & Norm development. A number of Environmental Norms/standards/industry guidelines have been made by us for CPCB/MoEFCC
• MECON has carried 400+ EIA /EMP studies so far for Steel plants, Power plants, Mining projects, Nuclear projects, Chemical plants, Cement plants, Oil and gas terminals, Ship breaking yards/ units, Ports, Harbours & Jetties, Road, Highways & MRTS, Townships & Area development projects, exploration etc. Almost all the major industrial monuments of the country have been served by MECON’s environmental group.
• The Engineers/scientists in environmental engineering are trained by TUV Rheinland, Germany.
